Hans Werner Loew

Hans Werner Loew (born April 2, 1942 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Loew graduated from high school in Starnberg in 1961 and studied law in Munich , Berlin and from 1965 in Würzburg . He passed the first state examination in law in 1968, then was a trainee service and research assistant at the University of Würzburg , before he passed the second state examination in autumn 1972. Then he was a member of the Bavarian Finance Administration in the Upper Government Council until autumn 1974 and member and chairman of the SHB Würzburg from 1966 to 1968.

In 1969 Loew joined the SPD. He was first chairman of the Young Socialists in the Würzburg district association, then deputy chairman and from 1975 to 1990 chairman of the Würzburg SPD district association . From 1972 to 1978 he was a member of the District Board of Franconia and from 1978 to 1984 a member of the State Board of Bavaria. From 1990 he was a member of the Würzburg city ​​council, where he was chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. From 1974 to 1998 he sat in the Bavarian state parliament .

In May 2012 Loew received the Georg von Vollmar Medal, the highest award of the BayernSPD, from the SPD parliamentary group leader Markus Rinderspacher .
