Hans Wichmann (athlete)

Hans-Georg Wichmann (born January 28, 1905 in Berlin-Neukölln , † September 23, 1981 in Inzell ) was a German athlete .

The middle-distance runner finished fourth in the 1500-meter run at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam .

Over the same distance, he came on the podium five times in a row at the German athletics championships : in 1928, 1929, and in 1932 he won, in 1930 he was third and in 1931 second.

He was also successful with the relays of SC Charlottenburg: in 1931 he became German champion with the 3 × 1000 m relay. With the 4 × 1500 m relay, which was also held at the time, he achieved first place in 1931 and 1932 and came second in 1930.

Hans Wichmann started for Karlshorster TV Berlin and SC Charlottenburg .
