Hans Wilhelm Baur

Hans Wilhelm Baur (* 1926 ; † January 10, 2015 ) was a German newspaper publisher . He was editor of the Badische Neuesten Nachrichten .

Life

In 1949, Baur joined the editorial team of Badische Neuesten Nachrichten as a volunteer, which was founded by his uncle Wilhelm Baur . In 1960 he became head of personnel, and after the death of his uncle in 1973, he became a publisher and editor. In 1994, Baur and his wife contributed most of their shares to the "Wilhelm Baur Foundation". In 1998 he founded the free Sunday newspaper Der Sonntag . In 2004, Baur's adopted son Klaus Michael Baur took over the editorial office and became editor-in-chief, while Baur himself remained managing director and publisher. After the Requiem celebrated by city dean Hubert Streckert and Caritas director Bernhard Appel in St. Stephen's Church, he was buried in Karlsruhe's main cemetery. His wife Brunhilde died in 2004.
