The Saint Louis Football Club is an American football franchise of the United Soccer League from Fenton , Missouri , a suburb of St. Louis .

history

On May 1, 2014, SLSG Pro LLC acquired the rights to provide a USL Pro franchise. On the same day it was announced that the home games will be played at the St. Louis Soccer Park in Fenton, Missouri . As the first coach the director of the youth football club Saint Louis Scott Gallagher, Dave Schilly, could be committed.

On June 2, 2014, SLSG Pro announced that the new team would be called Saint Louis Football Club. On January 13, 2015, former AC St. Louis player Mike Ambersley became the team's first player. On January 16, 2015, the partnership with the Major League Soccer team Chicago Fire was presented.

Stadion

The World Wide Technology Soccer Park is a complex with a total of 4 soccer fields. The home games of Saint Louis FC are played on the main square, the Toyota Stadium. There is a total of 6,200 spectators there. The stadium is located in Fenton, a suburb of St. Louis. The owner is the St. Louis Scott Gallagher youth football organization.

The franchise is owned by SLSG Pro LLC. This in turn is linked to one of the largest youth football organizations in the USA, the St. Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club.

The Chief Executive Officer of SLSG Pro LLC is former soccer player and entrepreneur Jim Kavanaugh. He is also the CEO and founder of the IT company World Wide Technology. Kavanaugh played in the Major Indoor Soccer League from 1986 to 1987 . He is supported by Tom Strunk, Chief Finance Officer, who also performs this role at World Wide Technology.
