The Rio Grande Valley Toros (officially Rio Grande Valley Football Club ) are an American football franchise of the United Soccer League from Edinburgh , Texas in the Rio Grande Valley .
history
In September 2014, officials of the major league soccer franchise Houston Dynamo negotiated a partner team in the USL. It was announced that Dynamo intends to provide a team for the league for the 2016 season.
On July 15, 2015, the Rio Grande Valley FC was officially founded. Houston Dynamo will be responsible for the athletic side. This includes player selection and finding a coaching staff. The owner group Lone Star, LLC takes over operational control of the franchise.
Stadion
In May 2016, a 9,400-seat football stadium is to be completed in Edinburgh.
