history
On January 8, 2018, the Memphis 901 FC was introduced as the new franchise of the USL Championship. This team is owned by Peter Freund, Craig Unger and the former American football goalkeeper Tim Howard . As the owner of Trinity Sports Holding , Freund is also the owner of the Memphis Redbirds , a minor league baseball club in whose stadium, AutoZone Park , the Memphis 901 FC will also play.
