Hans Wocke (singer)

Hans Wocke ( 1904 in Cologne - January 7, 1972 in Pinneberg ) was a German opera singer ( baritone ) and actor .

Life

Wockes career initially began in 1925 when West German Radio in Cologne. He became known to a wide audience through the radio broadcasts. In 1933 he went to the Bielefeld City Theater and then to the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, where he had an important career.

He was valued not only as a singer in lyrical roles, but also as a concert singer.

From 1965 he lived in Pinneberg, where he also died.
