Hans Gerhard Zeger

Hans Gerhard Zeger (born September 28, 1955 in Vienna ) is a member of the Austrian Data Protection Council , author of several works on the topics of privacy and the information society and an evaluator for the EU.

Life

After completing the HTL for communications engineering, Zeger studied mathematics, philosophy and social sciences and received his doctorate in philosophy at the University of Vienna in 1982. Since 1990 he has been chairman of ARGE Daten and since 1996 a member of the data protection council. He also teaches at the universities in Vienna, Innsbruck and Linz and has been managing director of e-commerce monitoring GmbH since 2002.
