Hans and Ellen Kollmannsberger , also known as Kollmannsberger-Duo , are a German singing duo of popular hits .

Hans (real name: Johann Kollmannsberger , born September 14, 1932 in Landshut ) and Ellen (real name: Elisabeth Kollmannsberger nee Osadnik , born November 4 in Himmelwitz ) have been married since 1962 and have a daughter and a son.

The duo applied for the Grand Prix of Folk Music in 1988 and was eliminated from the preliminary round with the song Die Liebe zur Heimat .

Career

Hans Kollmannsberger comes from a family of innkeepers and, according to his father's will, should take over the business. First he learned the trade of mechanical engineering and founded the trio Die Drei lustigen Landshuter-Buam in the 1950s .

In 1955, at the insistence of his father, he began training as an innkeeper and continued making music in his free time. From 1956 he played in Munich at the Theater am Platzl . In 1958, the first record was released together with his then partner Helga Reichel . In December of the same year, Kollmannsberger met his future wife and singing partner Ellen at a performance.

The trained nurse also received an engagement at the Theater am Platzl in Munich from 1962. In the years that followed, the duo gave concerts, sang several records and appeared on a number of popular television and radio programs. Her songs reached the top spots in popular radio hit parades and could also be heard in popular request concerts. At times, the duo was also seen at popular television events.
