Hansa Business Park

The Hansa-Business-Park (own spelling Hansa-BusinessPark ) is located in the southern urban area of Münster in Westphalia. The 67 hectare industrial and commercial area takes its name from the A1 , which is known as the Hansalinie between Lübeck and the Ruhr area . The site is owned by the Münster Economic Development Corporation. She sold the first property in 2010.

In 1993 the City Council of Münster decided on an urban development measure for a commercial and industrial area near Amelsbüren. Although it was lifted two years later, the preliminary investigation continued. After the resumption of planning steps in 1999, the new zoning plan for 2010 was approved in 2004. The background was: The city of Münster did not have any competitive industrial areas for large-scale projects across the region. The Hansa-Business-Park was supposed to remedy this qualitative and quantitative weak point in the available urban space and to tie commercial-industrial investments and jobs to Münster. A market and target group analysis by Atisreal from 2005 confirmed that the project has the potential to attract logistics, wholesale, craft and industrial companies with regional settlement effects. In addition, a motorway connection offers optimal location requirements. On this basis, actors from Münster's politics, administration and economy made fundamental decisions for the Hansa Business Park and continued to pursue development goals. In 2006 there was the green light for direct motorway access. In 2007 the council decided to draw up the development plan. In 2009 the council made decisions on structural measures and legal regulations. At the same time, the Münster Economic Development Corporation began marketing the space before the first land purchase agreement was signed with L. Stroetmann Saat GmbH & Co. KG in 2010.

The Hansa Business Park near Münster-Amelsbüren is divided into two parts. The first, larger area was developed from 2010 and comprises around 47 hectares of net building land. It is framed to the southeast by the Dortmund-Ems Canal , to the west by the A1 and to the north by Kopenhagener Strasse. The second construction phase is not far in a north-easterly direction above Wiedaustrasse with an area of around 10 hectares of net building land. The development started in 2015 with the new building project of an IT company.

The Hansa Business Park is located on the north-south axis A1. The Münster- Hiltrup / Amelsbüren junction was opened in November 2014. A sculpture by Alfred Gockel had been erected here two months earlier . The artist used colored fans to create a link to the companies in the Hansa Business Park. In addition to the road, the industrial park can also be reached via the Dortmund-Ems Canal. Two heavy lift ships can dock at the 250 meter long transshipment point . It was first used in 2012 in the course of the construction of the A1 junction, when 80,000 tons of gravel were delivered by water within half a year. That corresponds to 2,857 articulated lorries of 28 tons each on the road. The Copenhagener Straße, which was expanded in 2014 on the northern edge of the Hansa Business Park, now serves as the new main traffic axis between the motorway and Amelsbüren or Hiltrup.

Companies

In 2011 L. Stroetmann Saat was the first company to set up a seed center in the Hansa Business Park.

In November 2010 L. Stroetmann Saat GmbH & Co. KG broke ground for a seed center with a silo building, mixing plants, and filling and storage facilities. Over time, the companies Könning Garten- und Landschaftsbau (2012), Igema GmbH as a manufacturer of measurement and control technology products for the monitoring of steam boilers and process engineering systems (2012) and the animal feed manufacturer IFP (2013) were added. Further settlements were made by the Bleker car dealership (2013), the Pohlmeyer bakery (2013) and the bus company Theo's Reisen (2014). At the end of 2014, Westfalen AG opened a petrol station on Kopenhagener Strasse and in 2018 a truck wash. The Alcaro logistics center was put into operation in October 2016. The Imperial Group's dangerous goods warehouse was inaugurated in mid-2017. In 2018, the Matschke sanitary and heating company, the Stopka car dealership and Franz-Bracht Kran-Autovermietung GmbH started operating their locations in the industrial area.
