history

The history of the Hanse yachts began with the founding of the Greifswald Yacht Center in the early 1990s. The Hamburg yacht broker and regatta sailor Michael Schmidt took over a small boat and repair yard in Greifswald in 1990 and began to modernize it. In the summer of 1993 he acquired the rights and designs for the Aphrodite 291 (construction: Carl Baier) and developed the Hanse 291 on this basis . The model was presented at the hanseboot 1993 for the competitive price of 44,000 DM and caused a sensation. The second model, the Hanse 331 (1994), was also a further development, this time the Finngulf 33 .

With the Hanse 371 , the first model penned by the yacht designers Judel / Vrolijk & Co came onto the market in 1999 . The Hanse 531 (2004), which was characterized by a pioneering interior design at the time, also has a special place in the model's history . The Hanse 675 - the current flagship - was presented in 2016 after several years of development. With a length of 21 meters, it is currently the largest series-produced sailing yacht in the world.

In 2016, the company presented the smallest Hanse model with an optional 4 kW electric drive in the rudder blade ( Hanse 315 E-Motion Rudder Drive ). The system was developed in cooperation with the companies Jefa and Torqeedo .
