Rolf Vrolijk (born December 25, 1946 in the Netherlands ) is a yacht designer living in Switzerland .

In Bremerhaven he runs the Judel / Vrolijk & Co. design office with his partner Torsten Conradi . Furthermore, until 2010, Rolf Vrolijk was Principle Designer in the America's Cup team Alinghi for Swiss Ernesto Bertarelli, with whom he won the Americas Cup twice ( Auckland / NZ - Valencia / ESP) and brought the trophy back to Europe for the first time in more than 150 years. Rolf Vrolijk and his design team were also responsible for the construction of the Swiss catamaran Alinghi, which had to face the Oracle team of software billionaire Larry Ellison in 2010 after a long court battle in New York and lost the trophy in 2010.

Since 2017 Rolf Vrolijk has been working for the British America's Cup team INEOS of British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe.

He became known for the construction of winning regatta yachts at the Admiral's Cup and many international regattas . He and his team made their breakthrough in the regatta scene in 1980 with the yacht Düsselboot . His first project was a yacht for Herbert von Karajan (HELISARA C&C 61 ft), which was the largest series-production boat at the time.

He constructed very successful regatta yachts such as Rubin (owner: Hans-Otto Schümann ), Platoon (world champion 2017 and 2019; owner Harm Müller-Spreer), Pinta (owner: Willi Illbruck ) and later also Bribon (owner: King Juan Carlos de Borbon ), Prada (owner: Patrizio Bertelli ) and container (owner: Udo Schütz ). In addition, the Judel / Vrolijk office, which Vrolijk built together with Friedrich Judel , also designs sailing and motor yachts for everyone, which differ from other yachts in particular through their sporty design. The large-scale shipyard Hanse Yachts has most of its designs done by Judel / Vrolijk. There is a close collaboration with Wally Yachts and Feretti.
