Hansjörg Biener

Hansjörg Biener (* 1961 in Wiesbaden ) is a German Protestant theologian and media journalist. He is Professor of Didactics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg .

Biener was born in Wiesbaden and grew up mainly in Münster and Neu-Ulm . After studying Protestant theology, philosophy and sociology and received his doctorate in 1991 with a thesis on Christian radio work. He worked in communities in Nuremberg and Amberg . He was also a consultant to a regional bishop and coordinator of a commission for peace education. In 2004 he received his habilitation with a thesis on multi-perspective didactics. He is currently working at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg .

Hansjörg Biener's topics and journalistic activities are in the areas of media, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, church history and, last but not least, religious education in dialogue with other specialist didactics.
