Hanspeter Mattmüller

Hanspeter Mattmüller-Stucki (* 1931 ; † February 18, 2017 ) was a Swiss historian , high school teacher and politician ( VEW ).

Mattmüller first completed training as a primary and secondary school teacher. In 1964 he received his doctorate under Edgar Bonjour with a thesis on the Swiss constitutional lawyer Carl Hilty at the University of Basel and was a teacher at the Holbein-Gymnasium in Basel . In 1983 he chaired the Grand Council of the Canton of Basel-Stadt .
