Hanspeter Rufer (born August 17, 1948 in Switzerland ; † September 13, 2012 in Kloten ) was a Swiss ice hockey player who was active in the EHC Kloten in the National League A in the 1960s and 1970s and led the team as captain for many years .

Career

Rufer was a member of the first Kloten master team from 1967 . He played a total of 12 years for EHC Kloten and made 301 games for the club. At the age of 32 he had to end his career due to lymphatic cancer .

He subsequently remained connected to the EHC Kloten through the family owned butcher's shop, which supplied the Schluefweg -Halle with sausages for many years .

Rufer died on September 13, 2012 after a long illness.
