Hansueli von Allmen (born March 6, 1946 ) in Thun is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

SP politician and mayor

Hansueli von Allmen graduated from traffic school and then worked for the Swiss Federal Railways . From 1973 to 1982 he was a member of the city council and from 1983 to 1990 the municipal council of the city ​​of Thun . Between 1986 and 1991 he was in the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern and from 1995 to 1999 he was a member of the National Council . From 1991 to 2010 he was Mayor of Thun for 20 years. After his resignation he was replaced by Raphael Lanz (SVP) .

Cabaret and cultural promotion

Von Allmen was a co-founder and honorary member of the ktv (artist theater organizer), which awards the Swiss Small Art Prize and which was integrated into the SAPA (Swiss Archive of the Performing Arts) in 2019. From 1970 he built up the Swiss cabaret, chanson, mime and dialect rock archive. The documentation is bequeathed to SAPA with a notarized donation agreement. Von Allmen is President of the Thun Cabaret Day. For years he campaigned for the promotion of the Swiss cabaret scene. He also co-wrote the Swiss Theater Lexicon as an author.
