Aaron William Cresswell (born December 15, 1989 in Liverpool ) is an English football player . The defender is under contract with West Ham United , who play in the Premier League .
Career
society
Cresswell made his debut on November 1, 2008 for the Tranmere Rovers in Football League One in the game against the Milton Keynes Dons , which was lost 0-1. In the summer of 2011 he moved to Ipswich Town . On July 3, 2014, he signed a five-year deal with West Ham United . He made his debut in the Premier League on August 16, 2014 in a 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur . On November 29, Cresswell scored his first goal for West Ham United in a 1-0 home win over Newcastle United . As a result, Cresswell became the undisputed regular player in the position of left defender and did not miss a single second in the Premier League in his first season. Also in the following season he only missed one game. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, however, he initially fell out with a knee injury, but was later able to regain his regular position. Occasionally, he was also used more offensively in the left midfield, in the following 2017/18 season increasingly in central defense. On matchday 19 of the 2018/19 season, Cresswell West Ham took on the field for the first time as captain in a 2-1 win against Southampton FC .
National team
On November 15, 2016, Cresswell made his debut for the English national soccer team when he was substituted on by coach Gareth Southgate in the 79th minute for Danny Rose in the 2-2 draw against the Spanish national soccer team . In total, Cresswell played three games for England between 2016 and 2017, only his last so far, the game against Lithuania on October 7, 2017, over the full season.
