Jarrod Bowen (born December 20, 1996 in Leominster ) is an English football player who is under contract with West Ham United in the Premier League .

Career

Jarrod Bowen, who comes from his own youth academy, made his debut on March 22, 2014 at the age of seventeen for fifth division Hereford United in a 2-0 defeat at Barnet FC . For his team, he scored one goal in eight National League games by the end of the season .

In July 2014, the first division club Hull City announced the signing of Jarrod Bowen. After initially being used in the youth teams, he made his professional debut on August 23, 2016 in a 3-1 win over Exeter City in the second round of the 2016/17 EFL Cup . In the Premier League 2016/17 , the 20-year-old attacker was used in seven games and relegated his team to the second division as third from bottom at the end of the season.

In the new division Bowen established himself as a regular player and played 42 league games. With 14 league goals, he was also the most accurate player on his team and one of the top ten goal scorers of the 2017/18 EFL Championship . Hull City ended the season only in table eighteenth and was at times in danger of relegation. In the course of the season, the club had prematurely extended Bowen's contract to 2020. At the end of January 2020, Bowen moved to the first division side West Ham United , the transfer fee is said to have been £ 22 million according to press reports.
