Leominster [ ˈlɛmstə ] ( Welsh Llanllieni ) is a small English town with market rights in the West Midlands . It lies on the River Lugg in the county of Herefordshire and has about 11,000 inhabitants. Since the late Middle Ages, Leominster has been known for its Lemster Ore , a particularly fine, short-fiber sheep wool.
