Carlos Alberto Sánchez Moreno (born February 6, 1986 in Quibdó ) is a Colombian football player .
Career
society
Sánchez started his career with Danubio FC from Montevideo . From Clausura 2006 to Clausura 2007 he was in the squad in the Uruguayan capital at River Plate Montevideo .
In mid-2007 he moved to Europe for Valenciennes FC . He made his debut in Ligue 1 , the highest league in France , on August 4, 2007, the first match day. In the 3-1 win over FC Toulouse , he was in the starting line-up and prepared Johan Audel's 1-0 opening goal in the 5th minute . After five years he left France for South America. He signed a contract with Rangers de Talca in Chile . But it was loaned straight back to its old club. After the loan expired, he moved to the Spanish Primera División for FC Elche in 2013 .
After two years with the English club Aston Villa , Sánchez switched to AC Florence on loan . After 31 games in the 2016/17 season , he was signed before the loan expired.
On January 31, 2018, Espanyol Barcelona announced their signing.
After his return to Fiorentina , the English first division side West Ham United signed him on a free transfer.
National team
He made his debut for Colombia on May 9, 2007 in a friendly against Panama . He was a member of the 2007 and 2011 Copa America squad. Sánchez was on the squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil .
He was part of the Colombian squad at the 2018 World Cup in Brazil . He came to three missions and was eliminated with the team in the round of 16 against England on penalties.
