Hanswilly Bernartz
Hanswilly Maria Bernartz , also Hans Willy Bernartz , (born January 1, 1912 , † February 11, 1989 ) was a German lawyer and marine painter.
Career
Bernartz studied in Freiburg from 1933 and received his doctorate in Cologne in 1938.
He was established as a lawyer in Cologne. He was one of the co-founders of the German Maritime Museum in Bremerhaven, which opened in 1975 and to which he made his extensive private collection, which included ship models, graphics and paintings, available as a basis.
He was also Vice President of the German Society for Shipping and Marine History (DGSM) and emerged as a marine painter and draftsman himself.
He was a member of the shareholders' committee of Eau de Cologne and Parf. - Ferd's factory. Mills.
His grave is on the Melaten cemetery in Cologne (lit. D).
