Harald Danne

Harald Theodor Danne (born February 5, 1955 in Gießen ) is a fully qualified German lawyer and labor lawyer . Since 1989 he has been a professor at the Technical University of Central Hesse , and since 2001 Head Director of the Scientific Center for Dual University Studies ( StudiumPlus ) in Wetzlar .

Study and job

From 1973 to 1979 Danne studied law at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen (JLU). In 1982 he passed the second state examination in law at the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main as an assessor . From 1982 to 1986 he was a research assistant at the chair for Roman law , civil law , labor and social law at JLU Giessen. In 1986 he received his doctorate as Dr. jur., the dissertation “Job-Sharing” was awarded the dissertation prize within the section “Dr.jur. und Dr.rer.pol. ”of the academic year 1985/1986.

From 1986 to 1989 Danne was Deputy HR Manager at Messer Griesheim GmbH - Industrial Gases - in Düsseldorf . Since 1989 he has been a professor at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM), teaching commercial and labor law as well as business and corporate ethics. From 2006 to 2012 Danne held two terms of office as Vice President of the Technical University of Central Hessen. a. for study and teaching, further education, examination office and student administration as well as university sports.

Since 2001 Danne has been the executive director of the Scientific Center for Dual University Studies (ZDH) - StudiumPlus - in Wetzlar. In cooperation with the Central Hesse Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the leadership of the IHK Lahn-Dill and the “CompetenceCenter Dual University Studies”, the THM offers dual study programs under the “StudiumPlus” brand. Since 2015, the ZDH has also been responsible for the THM's continuing education programs. The network consists of over 800 partner companies (especially small and medium-sized companies ) and over 1400 students. StudiumPlus is thus the largest provider of dual study programs in Hessen - awarded by the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft 2006 and 2013 and awarded the "Dual Studies Hessen Award 2010" by the two Hessian ministries for science and art, as well as economy, energy, transport and regional development.

For many years Danne was a member of the faculty council, chairman of the examination committee and member of the Senate. For many years he was also a city councilor, a member of the district council and district committee and a member of the state committee for science and art. Among other things, he has been a member of the Rotary Club Wetzlar since 1996 , since 2007 in the advisory board "Hochschule dual Bayern" and since 2013 in the steering committee for dual studies in Hessen.
