Harald Fissler

Harald Fissler (born January 27, 1925 in Bad Kreuznach ; † March 17, 2013 in Idar-Oberstein ) was a German entrepreneur .

Life

Fissler studied mechanical engineering and in 1952 took over the management of Fissler GmbH as a representative of the fourth generation of the family , after the departure of his cousin Rudolf Fissler (1980) and his son Ernst Rudolf Fissler (1987) as sole managing director. He was responsible for the technology department and was responsible for numerous developments, such as B. the hard priming of coated pans, the enamelling of aluminum devices and the manufacturing techniques for high-quality stainless steel devices. Among other things, he was a board member of the German and European research associations for sheet metal processing and surface technology for three decades.

In 1995 he founded the Harald Fissler Foundation, which aims to promote upbringing, popular and vocational training, as well as art and culture, heritage and monument preservation.

He was with Hilde Fissler, geb. Drill, married. He has two children, Folkhart Fissler and Friederike Fissler-Pechtl.
