Harald Schneider (politician)
Harald Schneider (born May 3, 1952 in Würzburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He was state chairman of the police union in Bavaria and was elected to the Bavarian state parliament on September 28, 2008 via the SPD list in Lower Franconia . There he was a member of the Committee for Local Affairs and Internal Security. He was security policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group and meanwhile honorary chairman of the Bavarian police union.

Schneider has been a member of the SPD since 1979 . He is district chairman of the party in the Main-Spessart district , since 1996 deputy district administrator in the Main-Spessart district, since 1988 district councilor and since 1984 city councilor in Karlstadt . Schneider was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 2008 to 2013.
Social functions
Since 1986, Schneider was chairman of the staff council of the Lower Franconian police and co-founder of the association for open child and youth work in Karlstadt (Troja). From 2005 to November 2010 he was the Bavarian State Chairman of the Police Union (GdP). Since 2012 Schneider has been on the board of the AWO District Association of Lower Franconia

Schneider is married to a member of the Bundestag a. D. Heidi Wright ; he has three children and five grandchildren.
