Harbert Harberts

Harbert Harberts (born December 26, 1846 in Emden , † October 1, 1895 in Hamburg ) was a German journalist and author.

Life

Harbert Dirks Harberts studied history, literature and art history in Bonn . He then worked as a teacher in The Hague for a year . Then he was an editor in Breslau and later in Hamburg . In 1886 Harberts founded the Lustige Blätter , which were moved to Berlin in 1887 .

Harberts died in Hamburg by suicide in 1895 and was buried at Chapel 3 in the Ohlsdorf cemetery ; his grave no longer exists, but a tombstone was placed near the T-pond in his memory .
