Hard-ish Bodies is a short film by Mike Carreon that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in late April 2019 .
action
The overweight Mitch works as a dancer in a strip club, but also has to perform as a "midnight train" for customers at home in order to earn money. From his colleague he receives his next assignment over the radio with an Afro-American customer who has booked him for a solo show on the occasion of her birthday. When he arrives at the scene, he knocks in his police uniform with shorts, sunglasses and a small ghetto blaster on the door of Apartment B instead of Apartment D, because he missed this additional information from his colleague over the radio.
When the door opens he looks into the barrel of a rifle. Mitch is tied to a chair next to a dead man and beaten. When he is supposed to strip, he makes it clear that his strengths lie in dancing. He delivers his show, but he can't really convince the gangster with it. The gangster bride, however, seems to like it somehow, which is why she gives him a few dollars from her last booty.
Mitch should have been at the strip club he works for by now. There, his colleagues are preparing for the show and are worried about where he will stay. Mitch frees himself from the precarious situation by blowing glitter in the eyes of the gangsters and fleeing the apartment. However, since he left the keys in the car, all he has to do is run through town in too tight panties.
A rickshaw driver brings him in time for the evening show, where he presents his colleagues with the bag with all the money that he took from the gangsters. They listen in disbelief to the story of the completely out of breath Mitch. The four are announced by their colleague and pull off their show professionally as usual in Stoney's Rock Hot Palace in front of a few cheering people and also get a dollar or two.
The actual customer and neighbor of the gangster couple goes through the open door in their apartment and asks if they stole their stripper.
