The Hardausee is a dam north of Hösseringen in the Suderburger Land . The dam was built in 1971 and dams the Hardau , which ensures an intensive water exchange and thus also cool water of good quality in the storage space . Purpose and use are exclusively recreational uses such as fishing, swimming and in winter also ice sports. With a sandy beach and a kiosk, the reservoir attracts many visitors every year. There is a campsite to the west of Lake Hardau .
