Hardcopy is a free program for making screenshots ( screenshots ) under Microsoft Windows . The program has many settings for the creation of screenshots, for example you can insert comments and notes and link them permanently. The software has been developed by the German Siegfried Weckmann since the late 1990s and is available in numerous languages.

The program allows numerous combinations of actions (for example key combinations , mouse actions or delay times ) and the triggered screenshot functions (for example only the active window). The generated screenshots can be processed in different ways:
