Harriet Rubin
Harriet Rubin (born October 31, 1952 in Passaic , New Jersey ) is an American writer .
Life
A scholarship in poetry enabled her to study at Columbia University . She then wrote articles and columns for the New York Times , Publishers Weekly , Fast Company , the Wall Street Journal, and some women's magazines , for example . In 1989 she founded her own imprint at Doubleday publishing house and was editor and editor of a number of economics and management books, for example by Peter Senge , Andy Grove , Faith Popcorn and Don Peppers, until she started writing books herself. Her first book Machiavelli for women became an international bestseller and has now been translated into 27 languages.
A self-confessed soloist, she also dedicated one of her books to the subject of “soloing”. The author currently lives in Manhattan.
