Harris Ledge is a flattened and ice-free mountain ridge in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Olympus Range it rises north of Mount Hercules .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1997 after the US geologist Henry Harris of Illinois State University , who was involved in three campaigns for hydrogeological studies between 1973 and 1976 as part of the drilling project in the Antarctic dry valleys.
