Harrison Meldola Prize
The Harrison Meldola price ( Harrison Meldola Memorial Prizes ) is conferred annually price of the Royal Society of Chemistry for the best published study in chemistry.
It was awarded from 1921 by the Chemical Society as the Meldola Medal and Prize (from 1980 by the Royal Chemical Society), named after Raphael Meldola . From 2008 it was merged with the Edward Harrison Memorial Prize of the Chemical Society, which was awarded from 1926 to 1979 for theoretical and physical chemistry (named after the chemist Edward Harrison (1869-1918)). The older prices were also for young researchers (under 32 years of age).
Annually, up to three winners are honored who receive £ 5,000 and give a series of lectures at universities in the UK. Award winners must be from the UK or Ireland and be 35 years of age or younger.
