Harry Berber

Harry Berber (born December 11, 1886 in Celle , † April 28, 1972 in Berlin ) was a German actor , director , screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Berber was active as an actor since the early years of the silent film era , from 1917 he was also mentioned in the staff information; after the establishment of the sound film , he was only able to get a comparatively few film roles. After the Second World War he also worked as an acting teacher. After an initial period from 1924 to 1926, Berber was also engaged at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin from 1950 to the mid-1960s . Active in the German capital since 1913, he also played there during the war. At this time he was also active as a director at the Lessing Theater .
