Harry Lehmann (philosopher)

Harry Lehmann (* 1965 in Dohna near Dresden ) is a German philosopher who made a name for himself with his theses on the philosophy of music and thus significantly shaped the discussions on new music in particular.

Life

From 1986 to 1992 Lehmann studied physics at the University of St. Petersburg . From 1992 he studied philosophy at the Berlin Humboldt University and studied philosophy of science at the University of Leeds . In 2003 he received his doctorate from the University of Potsdam with a thesis on systems theory by Niklas Luhmann . Since then he has mainly worked as a freelance author.

Lehmann lives in Berlin .
