Hartland is a city in the Canadian province of New Brunswick on the Saint John River . Hartland is located in the county ( County ) Carleton. The city was founded in 1813 and covers an area of 9.63 square kilometers. It rises between 41 and 103 meters above sea level. The population was 947 inhabitants in 2011.
Hartland is best known for its bridge. The Hartland Bridge over the Saint John River is the longest covered bridge in the world at 390.75 meters.
