Hartmut Grossmann

Hartmut Grossmann (born November 19, 1930 in Zwickau ; † February 13, 2016 in Fulda ) was a German writer and composer.

Life

Grossmann initially grew up in Sebnitz . After the premature death of his parents, he was first taken care of by a foster family in Zwickau, and later by his grandparents in Auerbach / Vogtl. behaved. After graduating from high school, Grossmann worked as a junior teacher in Lengenfeld from 1949 to 1953 . Due to the political situation, he left the GDR and moved to the Federal Republic of Germany. From 1953 onwards, Grossmann studied musicology, psychology and literature at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz .

The psychologist then worked as a department head for ergonomics / factory psychology at a steel company in the Ruhr area. In addition, he headed the work group information from industrial psychology of the Iron and Steel Industry Association and was a member of the advisory board of the central working group for basic work in the psychological service of the Federal Labor Office .

After his retirement, Grossmann became active as a writer and published stories, poems, plays as well as the autobiographical novel Recordings of an Unreadable Person . He also composed chamber music.

Grossmann lived in Wetter (Ruhr) . He was married and has two children.
