Hartmut Laumann

Hartmut Laumann (* 1949 in Eckernförde ; † November 13, 2001 in Buschhütten near Siegen ) was a German prehistoric scientist .

Life

Hartmut Laumann studied prehistory and early history in Kiel, Munich and Hamburg. He received his doctorate in 1981 at the University of Marburg with his thesis The settlements of the pre-Roman Iron Age in the Fritzlar-Homberg district . In his basic dissertation he worked on the Iron Age finds from the Schwalm-Eder district . From 1982 he worked as senior curator at the Olpe branch of the Westphalian State Museum . His most important excavation sites include the fire grave cemetery in Netphen - Deuz (1989/90), the Iron Age terrain terraces in Burbach - Oberdresselnorf (1998) and Siegen- Niederschelden (2000). His main focus was on mining archeology and the Latène period .
