Hartmut Wagner

Hartmut Wagner (born June 17, 1950 in Bremen ) is a German architect and manager .

biography

Wagner studied medicine for three semesters, completed his military service ( lieutenant in the reserve ) and then took up a degree in architecture at the Technical University of Hanover , which he completed in 1979 as a graduate engineer .

After almost two years as a freelancer in architecture offices, Wagner became an assistant to the management and project manager in the central construction department of Bertelsmann AG . After the completion of the G + J Pressehaus at Baumall , which Wagner had looked after as project manager, he took over the management of the central construction department of Bertelsmann AG in 1990. In 1993 the Bayerische Vereinsbank appointed him head of construction and operations and member of the bank operations management. After the merger of the Vereinsbank with the Bayerische Hypotheken- und Wechselbank to form HypoVereinsbank in 1998, Wagner became CEO of the newly founded HVB Immobilien AG, which took over the real estate ownership and real estate activities of the banking group.

From 2004 to 2006, Wagner headed Siemens Real Estate GmbH as divisional board member and managing director of Siemens Real Estate GmbH and then worked as an independent consultant with Wagner & Partner Real Estate Consulting. In 2009 he joined Schweger & Partner Architects as a managing partner, and from 2012 to 2015 he acted as sole managing director and partner in its successor Schweger Architekten GmbH in Hamburg. Wagner left the company in 2018.

Wagner is married to a dentist and lives in Starnberg and Hamburg.

Works

In addition to the G + J Pressehaus on baumall in Hamburg and the current buildings by Schweger Architekten, Wagner was responsible for the implementation of construction projects such as the Bertelsmann Tower in New York, the Fünf Höfe , the Schäfflerhof and the Allianz Arena in Munich.
