Hartwig von Stiten († 1635)

Hartwig von Stiten (* in Lübeck ; † May 26, 1635 ibid) was a German merchant and councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

Hartwig von Stiten was the son of councilor Jürgen von Stiten († 1612) . In 1597 he became a member of the patrician circle society . As a merchant, he is documented as a member of the Riga drivers in Lübeck in 1611. In 1619 he was appointed to the Lübeck Council and worked there as a treasurer in 1634/1635. Hartwig von Stiten was the owner of the Schönböken estate and a farm in Krempelsdorf. His coat of arms was in the Marienkirche in Lübeck .
