Haspa financial holding
The HASPA Financial Holding holds 100% of the shares in Hamburger Sparkasse AG and is the parent company for many more subsidiaries and associated companies. As a managing holding company in the legal form of a legal person under old Hamburg law , it is now at the head of the HASPA Group. From a banking regulatory point of view, it is a financial holding company . In 2010, Haspa achieved sales of EUR 1.915 billion.
HASPA is therefore an independent special-purpose fund, similar to a foundation, it belongs to itself. It is the only remaining company of this legal form.
history
The operational banking business was transferred from HASPA Finanzholding, which at the time was still trading as Hamburger Sparkasse, to the newly founded Hamburger Sparkasse AG in July 2003 by way of a spin-off under conversion law. The previous Hamburger Sparkasse, a legal entity under old Hamburg law, has been operating as HASPA Finanzholding since then and essentially manages the investments belonging to the HASPA Group.
On February 28, 2012, the Federal Cartel Office prohibited Haspa Finanzholding from cooperating and participating in 25.1% of the share capital of the Kreissparkasse Herzogtum Lauenburg based in Ratzeburg .
Corporate governance
The management board of HASPA Finanzholding consists of Harald Vogelsang, Frank Brockmann, Axel Kodlin, Jürgen Marquardt and Bettina Poullain. Günter Elste is the Chairman of the Board of Directors .
