Main logbook

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the main flight log , all flight movements of aircraft on an airfield are documented - in addition to the pilot's personal flight log and the aircraft's log book .

Legal

The pilot in charge has to report this to the airfield before take-off or after landing

This results from Section 70 (1) LuftVG. In addition, Section 30 (3) No. 3a stipulates that take-off and landing times must be recorded in the logbook.

In practice, this information is documented together in the main flight log at the airport .

execution

In the case of IFR flights, the data is transmitted via the written flight plan , in VFR flights it is usually via radio . The main flight log is kept at small places by the flight controller , at larger places by air traffic controllers . At places where it is allowed to fly without a flight controller , the pilot sends the required data in writing so that they can be recorded by the airport staff.

The main flight log is often handwritten on small airfields and electronically on larger ones.

Controls

The main flight log can be viewed by the responsible authorities ( customs , police , state aviation authority).
