The six-storey office and commercial building with red stone facade parts, a hipped roof and the southeastern arcades was built in a conservative style in the post-war period in 1956 for the Bremen Chamber of Commerce . The building stands on the complex of the neo-Gothic New Stock Exchange from 1864, which was destroyed in the war. Two historical stone sculptures adorn the balcony pillars facing the market square. A four-storey connecting building that has been preserved leads to the old Börsenhof A building on Dieter-Klink-Platz .

The location directly on the Bremen market square has a special urban development significance. The buildings on the market square belong to the listed ensemble. The Neelmeyer bank in 1950, the medical department store in 1950, the Eduscho house in 1953 and the Carl F. Plump & CO bank were built as neighboring, newly designed buildings . 1960. The house of the citizenry next to it did not come until 1965/66. In between is the sculpture garden with works by the sculptor Gerhard Marcks .

Today (2018) the offices are used by various companies and law firms.
