Dellacher House (2012)

The Dellacher house is a residential building in the town of Oberwart in Burgenland and is a listed building .

The house was built in 1969 according to the plans of the architect Raimund Abraham for a photographer friend. The design follows the traditional Burgenland house type at ground level and also shows the simplicity of the Japanese tradition of Zen . In the dining area, for example, there was no possible view of the plain and the lighting was chosen through an overhead light dome. Furthermore, the design is based on room arrangements by Adolf Loos , with jumping room levels and niche-like wood-clad fixtures. The cubist structure - a style of Abraham - was supplemented on the garden side with plantings of vinegar trees in the arrangement of a grove.

In August 2015 the house was sold to Johannes Handler, who wants to renovate it and make it accessible to the public. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The association “Das Dellacher” will take care of the event program.
