House Dr. pike

The house of Dr. Spieß is located in Bremen , Schwachhausen district, Bürgerpark district, Franziusstraße 44. The house was built in 1911 according to plans by August Abbehusen and Otto Blendermann . It has been a listed building in Bremen since 1999 .

history

The three-storey, plastered house with a hipped roof and partly rounded and partly angular windows and a wide cantilever cornice was built in 1910/11 at the turn of the century for Dr. phil. Paul Moritz Spieß (1877–1933) built. It fits into a two- to four-story closed residential development on Benquestrasse, which was named in 1890 after the Bremen garden architect Wilhelm Benque .

Abbehusen and Blendermann were in Bremen a. a. Planned: House Kasten in Schwachhausen, group of houses Benquestraße 28/32, Christ Church Woltmershausen , Blumenthal Town Hall , Theater am Goetheplatz , Vietorschule in Schwachhausen, Villa Koenenkamp in Horn-Lehe and the company apartments of the Bremen Volcano in Vegesack .

Today (2018) the house is used for apartments.
