House Hiddenhausen
House Hiddenhausen (also: Gut Consbruch ) is a noble residence in Hiddenhausen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The estate is about 700 meters from Gut Bustedt , about three kilometers from Gut Oberbehme and about 3.5 kilometers from Gut Steinlacke . The farm buildings in front of the manor house have housed a wood craft museum since 1997.
history
The beginnings of the residence can be dated to around 1400, when the Nagel family began buying up farms and land rent ( tithes ) in Hiddenhausen, Oetinghausen and Eilshausen . They thus became the landlords of the farmers concerned.
The Consbruch family , who took over the house from the Nagel family in 1701, including the associated basic rights, provided the bailiff von Enger. Thus the Hiddenhausen house was the administrative seat for the municipalities of Spenge , Enger and Hiddenhausen (see administrative structure for the county of Ravensberg ). This is why the house is also called the office building. In their function as bailiffs, the Consbruchs were also notaries , arbitrators and judges. The buildings with the manor house as the center date from the 17th and 18th centuries. In 1888 the Consbruch were ennobled. The estate is still owned by the von Consbruch family today.
Buildings and Park
The manor house from the 17th and 18th centuries is built in the Baroque style. Among other things, the tithes of the farmers in the area were stored in the three associated half-timbered barns. The listed property also includes a listed park .
