House Pietzsch, Unter den Linden 42

The house Pietzsch is an office and commercial building in the Berlin district of Mitte , the 50 million mark (adjusted for purchasing power in today's money: around 36 million euros) between 1993 and 1995 according to the architect Jürgen Sawade on the boulevard Unter den Linden was built. At number 42 it is home to Café Einstein on the ground floor , a popular meeting place for “Berlin society”. The building is only 15.71 meters wide, which is why a car elevator in the basement opens up the parking garage. The narrow atrium as high as a house is striking, which exhibits, among other things, pieces from the painting collection of the eponymous patron Heiner Pietzsch in changing hanging . The landlord of Café Einstein called this six-storey gallery "probably the largest connected exhibition wall in the world".
