Construction drawing 1902 for the extension of the veranda

description

The two-storey, together with the enclosure under monument protection standing villa rental is traufständig facing the street. The house, built on a quarry stone base, formerly in the Swiss style , has a size of four to two window axes and has a protruding gable roof with slate covering .

There is a symmetrical main view of the street. The three-storey central projection there occupies two of the four window axes. Its triangular gable was originally decorated with a crack. In front of the risalit floors there are elevated balconies, which replace the former veranda with an exit on top. There is an entrance porch at the rear of the building.

The plastered building is structured by cornices and corner blocks, with stucco ornamentation over the windows on the ground floor. The windows are framed by sandstone walls with small consoles under the sills .

The enclosure consists of picket fence fields between sandstone pillars.

history

The master builder Moritz Große designed and built one of the numerous building projects in the Niederlößnitz for the fruit trader and building contractor Carl Heinrich Claus from 1895 . The building permit of April 1895 followed in June or October of the same year. In 1902 a two-storey veranda was added in front of the central projection on the street side.

In the period up to 2003, the house was repaired, during which the “appearance, which was badly distorted in the 1970s by improper renovations”, was restored in accordance with the preservation order and the veranda that had disappeared was replaced by the elevated balconies.

Further buildings by Karl Heinrich Claus in Niederlößnitz

As early as 1894, Claus had Adolf Neumann build the villa at 45 Hohe Strasse . From 1897–99, the Villa Bella Vista at 60 Moritzburger Strasse followed. In 1898/1899 the Villa Amicitiae at Moritzburger Straße 50 and the rental villa Moritzburger Straße 52 and, with about three quarters of a year delay, the rental villa Moritzburger Straße 54 , all four by Hugo Große . The rental villa Humboldtstraße 3 followed in 1895/1896 , today Haus Preuße (master builder Moritz Große ) and in 1896/1897 the rental villas Humboldtstraße 5 and Humboldtstraße 7 , both by the construction company Gebrüder Große . One of these is the rental villa Robert-Koch-Strasse 3 from 1897/1898.
