Villa Bella Vista

description

The under monument protection standing villa for rent , as a country house like Villa classified, was completed at the time of historicism just before the turn of the century. It is located on the Leimgrund below the Radebeul-West forest park . The Mohrenhaus area is on the opposite side of the street .

The building consists of two structures: On the left is a anderthalbgeschossiger construction, traufständig is oriented to the street. The jam-room under the overhanging roof is illuminated through small round windows. Across this, on the right, i.e. on the south-facing side, is a narrow two-storey wing, the gable of which faces the street with the far protruding half-hipped roof . This also covers the protruding, closed arbor , whose exit on the upper floor through the roof looks like a veranda. On the far right there is a terrace facing south towards the garden .

The plastered building stands on a base made of polygonal quarry stone masonry. The facades are structured by cornices . The windows are surrounded by sandstone elements, accompanied by horizontal, triangular gable and overhanging arches. There are also sills with consoles . Crooked hipped dormers are used to further illuminate the two attic floors.

history

The fruit trader and building contractor Karl Heinrich Claus applied in October 1897 to allow the builder Hugo Große to build a house. Approval for the use of the villa was issued in January 1899.

The terrace in the right side view was added in 1957.

Further buildings by Karl Heinrich Claus in Niederlößnitz

Shortly afterwards, Claus had the neighboring houses built at Moritzburger Strasse 50 and Moritzburger Strasse 52 and, with a delay of around three quarters of a year, the rental villa at Moritzburger Strasse 54 , all three also by Hugo Große.

As early as 1894, Adolf Neumann built the Villa Hohe Strasse 45 for Claus . The rental villa at Humboldtstrasse 3 (master builder Moritz Große ) followed in 1895/1896 and the rental villas at Humboldtstrasse 5 and Humboldtstrasse 7 in 1896/1897 , both by the construction company Gebrüder Große . One of these is the rental villa Robert-Koch-Straße 3 from 1897/1898.
