House from Munchausen
The House of Munchausen is a listed schoolhouse Munchausen (Driedorf) , which in the Hessenpark in Neu-Anspach translocated was.
The house was built as a school in Münchhausen around 1720 . It is a two-story half-timbered building. The gable roof is covered with slate. The eight-sided roof turret with sound hatches and the roof cross were reconstructed in the Hessenpark.
The framework is representative. However, the Hessenpark shows the house plastered. This corresponds to the status in 1900. In 1906 the new school was built, which is now used as a village community center, so the house lost its original function. In 1980 it was demolished to make way for a street widening. It was dismantled and rebuilt in the Hessenpark.
In 2005 the house had to be closed due to the need for renovation. After extensive renovation work, the house was reopened in 2013 and is used for special exhibitions.
The house and the school barn opposite form an example of a school playground ride around 1900.
