Hauswald is a hamlet belonging to the community of Spiegelau with six inhabited houses and a forest chapel . The village can be reached via a main road and a forest path between the forest chapel and the Stern guesthouse . There is also a stop directly north of Hauswald with the Brunnerwirt , which can be reached via the same forest path.
In 1867 Hauswald consisted of 4 houses with 13 inhabitants and belonged to the community of Klingenbrunn and the Oberkreuzberg branch . In 1959 the municipality of Oberkreuzberg was renamed Spiegelau . Hauswald has 25 inhabitants.
