Hautajärvi [ ˈhɑu̯tɑjærvi ] is a village in the municipality of Salla in the southeast of the Finnish province of Lapland . Hautajärvi is located almost exactly on the Arctic Circle in the south of Salla, around 45 km south of the community center. The ski resort of Ruka is about an hour's drive away.

Hautajärvi has around 270 inhabitants. In the village there is a bar with a post office, a primary school and a church. The supermarket was closed in 2012. There is a daily bus connection to Ruka. At the start of the bear trail is the Hautajärvi information center, where the nature of the Oulanka National Park is presented.
